Can I purchase this policy for my spouse and children?

No. Unfortunately for this year, the policy is only available for the international students, OPT students and exchange scholars.

I was an international student but currently hold F1 visa during the period of Optional Practical Training (OPT). Can I purchase this policy? What is your eligibility requirement?

YES, international students with OPT status are eligible to enroll in this insurance plan. This means a lot more savings for you. If you purchase other health insurance (not for students), it easily costs more than $250 to have the similar coverage.

How can I know whether or not my school regards iStudentCity's plan as an equivalent or acceptable coverage?

You may go to see your advisors in, either International Student Service (ISS), Health Center (HC) or other departments like Insurance Office, which they can assist you to make a judgement whether or not our plan meets your school's minimum requirements. Our plan is popularly accepted by most public and private universities or colleges nationwide.

Should I submit an insurance policy waiver to my school earlier than I purchase iStudentCity's policy?

Yes, before you purchase this insurance plan, you need to consult your school advisor and file an insurance waiver form. If you are not sure if iStudentCity policy satisfies your school's requirements, send your school waiver form to customercare@iStudentCity.com and we will verify it for you.

There is a three-month minimum requirement for purchasing monthly coverage. You may purchase it for 3, 4, 5 or more months and pay it in advance. If you remit less than 3 months coverage, your premium will be returned.

What do the following terms showing on your waiver application mean, including insurance company, insurance company phone number, insurance policy number, subscriber name, policy owner's name, insured name, and effective date?

Our Insurance company is QBE Insurance Company; insurance company phone number is 1-800-537-1777; insurance policy number is SCH00003; subscriber name, policy owner's name and insured name all indicate your own legally full name; the effective date is the time when your insurance begins.
